Auto repair garage — CasablancaPhone calls +200% for an auto garage in Casablanca in 90 days.

An auto repair garage in Casablanca relied on word of mouth and watched its workshop slots go empty. Webotic activated local Google Ads, structured the GBP listing and set up call tracking to turn "oil change" and "tyres" searches into appointments. (Indicative figures, to be confirmed.)

The challenge · beyond word of mouth

The garage ran most of its business on loyal customers and neighbourhood word of mouth. But that channel was no longer enough: workshop slots stayed partly empty during the week, and local competitors were capturing searches like "oil change Casablanca", "car diagnostics" or "cheap tyres". With no visibility on Google, the garage was missing strong, immediate demand from drivers looking for a fast repair close to home. Another issue: no way to know how many calls actually came from the web, or how many appointments they led to. In those conditions, it was impossible to justify ad spend or steer profitability. The challenge was twofold: capture local demand at the exact moment of the search, and instrument the journey to measure every call and every booking generated.

  • Reliance on word of mouth, under-filled workshop slots.
  • Local searches (oil change, tyres, diagnostics) captured by competitors.
  • No Google visibility at the moment of the search.
  • No way to measure calls and bookings coming from the web.

The approach · local Google Ads + GBP + call tracking

Webotic built Google Ads campaigns centred on local intent: ad groups by service (oil change, electronic diagnostics, tyres, brakes) and tight geographic targeting on the neighbourhoods around the garage. Ads highlighted the call extension and directions to capture the click-to-call typical of a driver in a hurry. In parallel, the Google Business Profile was reworked: precise categories, opening hours, workshop photos, listed services and systematic review requests after each visit. Call tracking was deployed to attribute every call to its source and to separate real bookings from simple enquiries. Finally, an automated WhatsApp follow-up re-contacted leads whose call had not connected or who came in after hours. Everything was steered on a dashboard linking spend, calls and bookings, to shift bids toward the most profitable services.

  • Google Ads campaigns by service and by neighbourhood.
  • Optimized GBP listing: categories, photos, reviews.
  • Call tracking to attribute every call to its source.
  • WhatsApp follow-up of missed leads.

The results · a workshop filling up

In 90 days, phone-call volume more than tripled versus the starting point, a +200% increase, with a cost per call kept around 18 MAD on local Google Ads. Above all, instrumenting the journey made it possible to concentrate budget on the most-requested services and to cut the cost of acquiring a booking by 48%. On reputation, systematically requesting reviews after each visit tripled the monthly volume of Google reviews, strengthening both local ranking and the trust of new customers. The WhatsApp follow-up recovered a share of the requests that used to be lost after hours. The outcome: workshop slots that fill up in advance, demand that is now steerable, and a setup where every dirham spent is traceable all the way to the appointment. (Figures to replace with final values.)

  • Phone calls +200% · cost per call ~18 MAD.
  • Booking CPA −48% thanks to data-driven steering.
  • Google review volume ×3, better local ranking.
  • Workshop slots that fill up in advance.

Before, we had no idea where our customers came from. Now the phone rings, the workshop is full, and we know exactly what each appointment costs. It changed the way we work.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is local Google Ads suited to a neighbourhood garage?
Yes, it's one of the most effective use cases. A driver typing "oil change" or "tyres" near their home has immediate intent. Tight geographic targeting and ads with a call extension capture that demand at the right moment, on a controlled budget.
What is call tracking for, in a garage?
It attributes every call to its source (Google Ads, GBP listing…) and separates a real booking from a simple enquiry. Without it, there's no way to know which campaigns actually generate customers or to compute a reliable cost per appointment.
Why optimize the Google Business Profile?
The GBP listing is often the first point of contact: it appears in the local pack and on Maps. Precise categories, workshop photos and a steady flow of reviews improve local ranking and trust, and amplify the effect of paid campaigns.
How long before results show?
The first extra calls arrive within the first weeks of the campaigns. The ramp-up over 90 days comes from continuous bid optimization, the accumulation of Google reviews, and the refinement of targeting by service and by neighbourhood.
