Vocational training centre — Tangier+310% enrolments with TikTok and click-to-WhatsApp.

In Tangier, a vocational training centre was watching its intake sessions fill more and more slowly. In six months, Webotic rebuilt its acquisition around TikTok Ads, alumni UGC creative and click-to-WhatsApp: a 19 MAD CPL and enrolments up +310% over two intakes.

The context · intake sessions no longer filling up

In Tangier, vocational training runs on the rhythm of intake sessions: two windows a year when everything is decided. Until then, this centre — specialised in high-demand trades — recruited its learners through traditional channels: local billboards, student fairs, word of mouth. Channels that are expensive, hard to measure and, above all, increasingly ineffective with the real target: young adults aged 18 to 30 who no longer read posters but spend several hours a day on TikTok and Instagram. The starting point was twofold. On one side, a cost per enrolment rising steadily and intake sessions filling to barely half capacity. On the other, a high-friction sign-up journey: a long form, a late call-back, and heavy drop-off between initial interest and a completed application file. With only two intakes a year, every missed window weighed on the entire year's numbers. The mission entrusted to Webotic: rebuild acquisition on the platforms where this audience actually lives, and replace the form with a channel every young Moroccan already uses daily — WhatsApp.

  • The 18-30 target is absent from traditional channels (billboards, fairs).
  • Rising cost per enrolment, sessions filling to half capacity.
  • Long form and late call-backs: heavy lead drop-off.
  • Two intakes a year: every missed window weighs on the whole year.

The set-up · alumni UGC and WhatsApp as the front door

The set-up rests on three pillars. First, tight targeting of 18-30 year-olds in Tangier and the surrounding region on TikTok Ads and Meta, segmented by interest (employment, career change, digital trades) and by situation — students finishing their studies, young professionals looking to move up. Second, 100% UGC creative: instead of institutional spots, Webotic filmed short alumni testimonials on a smartphone, face to camera, in Darija — before/after journeys, first salary, advice for those still hesitating. Hooks are tested in weekly batches: winning formats are scaled, the rest cut. Third, click-to-WhatsApp (CTWA) as the single entry point: one tap on the ad opens a WhatsApp conversation directly with the admissions team, with a three-question qualification script (target course, availability, financing). No more form, no more call-back delay. Every conversation is reported back through the API and deduplicated, so bidding is steered on genuinely qualified leads rather than raw clicks, and budget is reallocated every week towards the audiences and creatives that actually convert.

  • 18-30 targeting in Tangier and region on TikTok Ads + Meta.
  • Alumni UGC testimonials shot on a smartphone, in Darija.
  • Click-to-WhatsApp: direct conversation, 3-question qualification.
  • Bidding steered on qualified leads via the API, not on clicks.

The results · the lowest CPL in our education portfolio

Over six months and two intake sessions, results exceeded the sector's internal benchmarks. The CPL settled at 19 MAD — the lowest across Webotic's entire education portfolio, where the sector's usual range sits markedly higher. Confirmed enrolments grew by +310% compared with the two previous intakes, to the point that the centre opened additional groups on its most in-demand courses. TikTok, a channel tested cautiously at first, ended up generating 55% of total lead volume, with alumni UGC creatives topping every performance metric — far ahead of the studio visuals tested for comparison. The switch to click-to-WhatsApp transformed pipeline quality: 72% of incoming conversations were qualified within the first three questions, and the admissions team now handles requests in minutes instead of several days. The set-up is being renewed as is for the coming intakes, with a reinforced TikTok budget and a pool of alumni testimonials replenished with every graduating class. (Illustrative figures, to be validated.)

  • 19 MAD CPL: the lowest in Webotic's education portfolio.
  • Confirmed enrolments +310% over two intakes.
  • TikTok = 55% of lead volume, driven by alumni UGC.
  • 72% of leads qualified within the first 3 WhatsApp questions.

We thought TikTok was for e-commerce. Today, more than half of our enrolments come from it, and WhatsApp lets us reply in minutes instead of days. Our last two intake sessions are full.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why TikTok for a training centre?
Because that's where the audience is. Moroccans aged 18-30 spend more time on TikTok than on any other channel, and testimonial formats perform particularly well there. In this set-up, TikTok generated 55% of lead volume, at a lower cost than traditional channels.
What does click-to-WhatsApp add compared with a form?
It removes friction: one tap opens a direct conversation with the admissions team, with no fields to fill and no call-back delay. Qualification happens in three questions inside the conversation — that's what explains the 72% of qualified leads.
How do you produce UGC creative without a big video budget?
With the alumni themselves: face-to-camera testimonials shot on a smartphone, in Darija, about their before/after journey. Authenticity beats production value — these videos outperformed every studio creative tested for comparison.
Is a 19 MAD CPL reproducible for any training centre?
It is the lowest in our education portfolio: every context varies with the city, the courses offered and enrolment seasonality. The method — young targeting, UGC, click-to-WhatsApp — is transferable, however, and an audit lets us estimate a realistic target CPL.
